Mahogani Summer Concerts Chapter 2: Mozart, Bartók & Grieg

On Wednesday the 12th of July, at 20:15, the Mahogani team welcomes you to the second concert of our summer series 2023.
Violinist Dionysia Kazantzidi will start with the dramatic sonata in e minor of Mozart, a work he composed in the period when his mother deceased.
To brighten up the mood, pianist Duco Burgers will continue with sounds of the Transylvanian countryside in the famous Romanian Folk Dances by Béla Bartók.
Finally, the musicians will finish with the overwhelming second violin sonata by Edvard Grieg, a piece that Grieg’s teacher Niels Gade called ‘too Norwegian’, to which Grieg replied that he would try to make his next sonata even more Norwegian!
